Julie Reverb

I am a London-based fiction writer and former singer.

My short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in The White ReviewThe Quietus, EgressNecessary FictionVolume 1 Brooklyn3:AM, Gorse, Numéro Cinq, Sleepingfish and elsewhere. I was longlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize 2017 and received a special mention in the Galley Beggar Press Short Story Prize 2017/18. My début book No Moon, a novella is out now on Calamari Archive; I am currently writing a novel.

In May/June 2018 I will be artist in residence at Córtex Frontal in Arraiolos, Portugal. In 2019, I will attend the Can Serrat writer residency programme in El Bruc, Spain on a full scholarship.

I have read my work both in the UK and internationally at events including National Writing Day (organised by the National Association of Writers in Education) and AWP 2017 in the US, and at a variety of performance spaces including Manchester Academy, Elevator Gallery in London, Rhizome arts space in Washington DC and Goldsmiths, University of London. I hold a BA in English Literature from the University of Birmingham and a MA in Creative & Life Writing from Goldsmiths.
